WHATSAPP AS A LEARNING TOOL DURING COVID -19 PANDEMIC: ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

This present study explores the advantages and disadvantages of WhatsApp (WA) as a learning tool during Covid-19 pandemic. WA is messaging application that can be installed on smartphones has many useful features. Researchers are interested in researching since students lecturers choose an for continuous while one knows applications actually intended learning. The design this research was mix method (quantitative qualitative). involved 168 respondents sample. instrument open-ended questionnaire. To analyze questionnaire, researchers used data analysis based Miles, Huberman, & Saldana (2014). Three steps were applied: condensation, display, drawing verifying conclusion. concludes most believed more than disadvantages. include it effective easy to use; features helpful, save internet quota, very light, do communication, observe students. disadvantages, however, cheat, old chats easily piled up by new chats, upload size limited, member capacity group limited.
